The Colts made up for their lone defeat, a 28-7 losss to the Statesmen on September 27th. Unlike the previous meeting, the Colts were able to run the the ball at will. Parkway Central ran the ball 47 times for 329 yards. The offensive line (Brantley Lohkamp, Daniel Lewis, Jason Piles, Harley Whitehouse, and Matt Sanders) paved the way for Augie Brooks and Khalen Saunders. Brooks had 193 yds. and 3 TD’s, while Saunders ran for 117 yards and 3 TD’s as well.
For Webster Groves it was a game of missed opportunities. The Statesmen piled up 384 yards on offense but were unable to finish a couple of key drives. Especially just before half the Statesmen had 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line and could not punch it across the goal line on 3 oppurtunities. That left the score 14-7 at half instead of a tie score, and Parkway Central seemed to take that momentum into the second half. Junior QB Rob Thompson threw for 316 yards and 3 Td’s for the Statesmen. Click here for the game
