Best Matchups in Week 1 of Districts!

Generally, the best matchups in this weekend of play is the #4 vs #5. That’s true in several cases but there’s a few exceptions…check it out as we list the best games of the weekend between two teams with solid records.

 

Class 6, District 3 should have 2 good games–

#3 Ft Zumwalt West (6-3) vs #6 Rock Bridge (4-5)

…Two teams that played extremely tough schedules. Now each hopes to build on the strength of their schedule for a successful post season.

 

#4 Timberland (5-4) vs #5 Blue Springs South (4-5)

…A matchup from opposite ends of the STATE sees Timberland and BSS each looking for their first real signature win of the season.

 

Class 6, District 4

#4 Kickapoo (6-3) vs #5 Joplin (6-3)

…a rematch of a 48-42 OT thriller of week 3as the Chiefs came out on top…expect another high scoring affair between these two high-octane offensive machines

 

Class 5, District 3

#4 Ft Zumwalt South (6-3) vs #5 Parkway North (4-4)

…This comes down to the Bulldogs electric offense vs the stingy North defense

 

Class 4, District 2

#4 St. Mary’s (5-4) vs #5 Gateway STEM (5-4)

…These teams hooked up in a 14-13 in week 1 when SM scored on their last 2 possessions. We’re expecting another tight one. This game will be video streamed LIVE on Prepcasts

 

Class 4, District 4

#4 Sullivan (5-4) vs #5 Priory (5-4)

…Probably a first time matchup between these two schools. The Rebels finished the season on a 3 game winning streak while the Eagles look to bounce back from a tough week 9 game against Helias.

 

Class 4, District 8

…from top to bottom – this is toughest Class 4 District-anything goes!!

#4 Van Horn (7-2) vs #5 Lafayette-St Joseph (6-3)

#3 Smithville (7-2) vs #6 Savannah (6-3)

 

Class 2, District 7

…this incredible district had three unbeaten teams, two 8-1 teams and a 7-2 team! WOW!

#4 Hallsville (7-2) vs #5 Ft Tolten Catholic (8-1)

#3 St Paul Lutheran (Concordia) (9-0) vs #6 Cole Camp (8-1)

 

Class 2, District 8

#4 Lawson (6-3) vs #5 Lexington (6-3)

…Two traditionally strong programs lock horns in a tough game for any #4 or #5!
