Oakville uses big inning to Beat Mehlvillle

The #1 ranked, Oakville Tigers used a 6 run 2nd inning as they cobbled together 3 hits, 3 walks and 3 errors on their way to an 8-2 victory over Mehlville HS on Senior Game Day. Prior to the game Seniors Adrianna Wegmann and Megan Allen were honored by Oakville. Pitcher Jordan Michalski struck out the side in the 1st and 2nd inning and finished with 12 strikeouts while surrendering only 4 hits in the complete game effort. Michalski had two hits and drove home two runs to push her team leading RBI total to 31 for the year. For her efforts, Michalski received the Custom Shirt Graphics Standout Player of the Game award. The Tigers outhit the Panthers 10-4 for the game. Other than Michalski, two-hit performers for the game were Katie Reed and Adrianna Wegmann (Oak) and Amber Koch and Kelsea Lohaus (Mehlville). Koch earned the Lions Choice 212 Athlete of the Game for her efforts of having two hits and scoring both runs for the Panthers. – Click here for the game
