Defending Champion Valle Catholic 5-0


The Class 1 top ranked Valle Catholic Warriors scored 5 touchdowns in
the first 7 minutes Friday night as they rolled to a 62-6 victory over
Grandview on Homecoming night at Fr. John Dempsey Field.

The Warriors Sr. Kolten Schilly scored 4 TD’s in a span of 5 minutes of
the first quarter, 2 on pass receptions from Jr. QB Connor Basler of 47
and 20 yards, and 2 on fumble returns of 3 and 18 yards. The Warriors
led 43-0 after a quarter and amassed 250 first half yards to -24 for the
outmanned Eagles.

Grandview scored their only TD in the 4th quarter on a 2 yard run by Jr.
Tyler Billingsly. The Eagles could only muster 4 yards of offense on the
night and 1 first down.

Valle (5-0) will travel to Jefferson R-7 (3-2) Friday night.

Ste. Genevieve allowed a 2nd quarter fumble recovery for a touchdown and
then roared back for a 35-8 victory over Fredericktown. The Dragons
(3-2) Soph. QB Wyatt Lalumandier threw 3 TD passes, 2 to Sr. Drew
Schmelzle, including an 87 yarder.

Ste. Gen travels to meet Class 3 State ranked Park Hills Central (5-0)
