Jim Baer Blog – Week 4 – Ladue / McCluer

Ladue played a matinee game at McCluer and pretty much owned the Comets’ field, running up a clock-shortened 42-6 victory.
Matt Hooper passed for three TDs and ran for two more in the win, increasing the record to 3-1 and three in a row this season.
Hooper spread the passes around throwing TDs to Cody Kniptash, Duncan Cannon and Paul Flynn.
Ladue had scoring quarters of 7 in the first, 21 in the second 14 in the third  and 7 in the fourth.
The Rams defense looked really solid, sacking the quarterback often and shutting down the Comets running game. Brent Morrow, Malcom Davis, Chris Bouderous, Nathan Howard, Julian Frederick and Cody Kniptash put in outstanding performances.
Ladue led from the early going, mostly through the air with Hooper connecting with five different receivers.
Ladue quarterback Matthew Hooper is the Lion’s Choice 212 Athlete of the Game.

Senior signal caller figured in 5 TDs. He threw for three and ran for two as he piled up 200 yards passing and Ladue smothered McCluer 42-6, running the record to 3-1.- Click here for the game
Ladue travels to Normandy for a league game next Saturday. –
