These
games will determine who wears the District crown next week-
Class 6
game of the titans-Rockhurst (9-0) vs Blue Springs South (9-0).
Some say
that this game is really the state championship game ! This is
the only Class 6 game involving two 2-0 district teams.
Borgia
(7-2) vs Owensville (8-1)-Class 3, District 7,these two high
octane offensive machines will again determine the championship.
Owensville shocked the Knights last year with a win despite
bringing a 4-5 record into the game.

Sectional game Class 4, District 9 vs 10
Union
(9-1) vs St Clair Bulldogs (6-3)-Class 4 District 9-- both teams
suffered defeats to Owensville this year in this Four Rivers
conference game.
Ozark
Tigers (5-4) vs Nixa Eagles (4-5)-Class 4, District 10-Both
these teams have played loaded schedules. Ozark has lost to two
of the State's Untouchables (Lee Summit West & Webb City). The
Eagles have fallen to the Cardinals of Webb City also, Carthage
and Republic.
Waynesville (9-1) vs Camdenton Lakers (9-1) - class 5 district 4
survivors. Both of these 9-1 teams are high quality programs.
The winner takes on unbeaten Kirkwood in the quarterfinals!
Normandy
Vikings (6-3) vs U City Lions (3-6)-Class 4, District 5--the
"shocker" of Class 4 will take on the pre-district favorite. The
Lions record is a bit deceiving-they've lost to strong teams all
season long-Eureka, Parkway Central, Parkway North, Webster and
Parkway West. Their win over Summit in week 5 was a wake up call
to the district that no one heeded.
Dexter
Bearcats (6-3) VS New Madrid County Eagles (9-1)-Class 3,
District 1-- The Eagles lightning speed will be the challenge
for the Bearcats.
Centralia Panthers (9-0) vs Montgomery County (8-1)-Class 2,
District 5, the Panthers stout defense has permitted more than 1
TD only ONCE this season.
Poplar
Bluff (5-4) Mules vs West Plains (4-5) Zizzers, Class 4,
District 1-Each team toughened themselves by competing against
many high quality Class 5 teams. Their records suffered but now
each hopes to cash in on the experience.
Summit
Falcons (3-6) vs Affton Cougars (3-6)-Class 4, District 3-The
Falcons hope that their experience against larger schools from
Suburban South will pay dividends against the Cougars (Suburban
East).

FMost Bang for your buck!
Ft Zumwalt West Jaguars (7-2) jumped ahead to a 33-14
halftime lead over the shocked Jefferson City Jays (7-2). TJ Moe
(FZW) rang up 4 TD passes during this half. The Jays rallied in
the 3rd quarter using a 87 yard TD pass, a 77 yard
"pick" for a score and a long drive to grab a 36-33 lead. The
Jags came off the mat, marched 84 yards in 10 plays to regain
the precious lead 39-36. With backup Soph QB at the helm, the
Jags ended this affair (for all practical purposes)when he hit a
wide open Justin O"Brien for a 32 yard dagger. The Final score
was Ft Z West 45-46. TJ Moe's offensive night of 306 passing and
116 rushing yards was the feature component in this win for the
Jags.

SSS--Some Surprising Scores from last week's action
Thayer (9-0) crushed the Marionville Comets (8-1) 42-12. No
one saw the Bobcats handling the Comets their first loss so
easily !
Two teams that were 8-0 at kickoff (Monnet Cubs & Cassville
Wildcats) provided a tremendous OT game with the Cubs prevailing
21-20!
Carthage Tigers (8-1) scored the first 36 points of the game
and cruised to a surprisingly easy 48-28 win over Republic
(7-2).
Was he wearing the wrong color jersey ?
Matt Lang intercepted four Parkway West passes to lead the
unbeaten Jackson Indians past the Longhorns 14-6 in defensive
tussle.
Looking too far ahead ?
Falling behind 10-0 to the Branson Pirates (1-8), the Ozark
Tigers scored 21 unanswered points for 21-10 win that keeps them
in the District hunt (see above).
Bobby Rawson's late interception helped fight off a
determined Kennett Indians (6-3) effort for a 33-27 Dexter
Bearcat(6-3) win. The title game is now there for Bearcats.
The Wheel finally turns
After a 3 year drought, the Truman Patriots(4-5) brought home
the Wagon Wheel Trophy as they whipped Wm Chrisman Bears(0-9)
31-7.
Did we forget to bring something ?
Two high
powered offenses seemed to be missing as the Clark County
Indians
(9-0)
edged the Palmyra Panthers 13-6. Going into the game, the
Indians averaged 43ppg and the Panthers 34 ppg !
