Bounce-back week for many teams.....the "foot" makes the difference...Mother Nature controls many contests...top ranked teams roll.....

Week 2 was filled with rain and lightning but some great football was able to sneak in between the storms....

Bounce-Back ...after losing week 1,these teams ended up with impressive wins...
....Mehlville Panthers scored 21 first quarter points to cleanse the taste of the loss to Eureka as they spanked the CBC Cadets 55-17 this week. Panthers offense ran on all cylinders all night long.
...After a valiant effort against state-ranked Farmington in week 1, the Fox Warriors shocked many by tumbling the always-tough North County Raiders 20-12.
...After not scoring any points in week 1, Howell Central shoved Troy aside 40-7.
The Foot made the difference...
...Ozark Tigers Drew Crain booted a 27 yd FG with just two ticks left on the clock to give the Tigers a 10-7 victory over the Camdenton Lakers.
...Carl Junction dropped a 14-13 dual to Cassville (2-0) when their extra point failed in the 4th quarter.
...St Clair used two field goals (40 and 25 yards) by Richard York to walk of a 13-6 victor over the Salem Tigers.
...Rogersville failed to convert any of its three PAT attempts as they fell 21-18 to the Branson Pirates!
Some Delays...others may have reached these levels on this stormy night..
...2 hour delay prior to Joplin Eagles chopping down Rolla 14-7
...90 minutes late, Buffalo Bison shut down Central, Springfield 17-0
Some marquee matchups....
...Timberland Wolves held Blaine Gabbert of Parkway West in check and rolled to a 23-7 win in non-conference action. Montee Ball rumbled for 216 in the win
...#1 Ranked Blair Oaks(2-0) jumped on Owensville (#9 Class 3) early and coasted to a 41-27 score
....Webb City Cardinals #1, Class 4 (2-0) pulled away from Carthage (#8, class 4) 44-25.
....Highly touted Mt Grove, shut out for 3 quarters, crossed the goal line twice in the final quarter to edge Nixa 14-7.
If by land or by air (I guess with the rain, also by sea in some cases)...your choice...
....60 passes, 7 TD passes were seen as Glendale Falcons (1-1) upended cross-town rival Hillcrest Hornets 36-34.
...Marshfield Bluejays plowed for 320 rushing yards as they pounded Parkview 30-13.
...Jordan Webb (Union, 2-0) threw for 326 yards as the Wildcats pushed the Priory Rebels from the ranks of the unbeaten 41-9.
...STATEMENT TIME...
...Jeff City, proved week 1 wasn't any fluke, by crushing KC Central 55-0.
...Williard (2-0) knocked off Bolivar Liberators (now 1-1) 20-17 to show their strength
...Fair Grove (2-0) is riding Caleb Schaffitzel up the rankings as they shut out Skyline 18-0. Super Soph Schaffitzel was "held" to just three TD's this week (6 last week!)
...Zumwalt West Titans (2-0) glided easily to their 2nd easy win with a 41-7 win over Francis Howell.
