December 31, 2007 Check Out Previous Blogs As we turn the page for another tremendous sports year, let’s look backward and forward with some reactions, some comments or questions. This particular blog will touch on Missouri sports of all levels, take a look 2007 was the setting for-- The retirement of two of the best football coaches in Missouri as Bob Shannon (CBC) and Gary Heyde each hung up the whistle. The head-head matchups over the last 9 years were classics. Young coaches should contact one or both of these HOF coaches and talk football to learn something for themselves.
Both the Hazelwood East and Normandy girls programs regain some of the girls basketball reputation for North St. Louis County.
Rockhurst win three state championship titles (football, swimming, soccer) in the fall of 2007!

More Charleston-Cape ND games ? These two powerhouse programs have split in two meetings already this season. They are absolutely terrific games!
A complete Ram coaching overhaul ? It's apparent to me that Haslett won't be back as well as some of the positional coaches. Why does Linehan return ? He'd be a lame duck coach and with the players clearly doubting their leaders skill, why play a losing hand ? Marty Schot looks good to me!
Tony Perkins leading his potent Howell baseball offense back to the final four? Always a top flight program, some feel that this is the year for the Vikings to sail to Springfield Missouri for the finals.
How far can Nick Niemczyk carry the Bell City Cubs in the post season basketball action? His prolific, varied offensive skills are great fun to enjoy when he's playing.
Another Trip to the Final Four for Roy Green as he deftly guides his Kickapoo Chiefs? Coach Green seems to have his basketball team there year after year.
Can Jason Isringhausen be far behind Jim Edmonds in wearing the title "former Cardinal"? One of Cards top prospects is a closer.
Rockhurst football team traveling all around the country up until District time and then slugging their way to another trip to the Dome. The nearby schools from Blue Springs provided the stiffest opposition all year for the Hawklets.
Will any MLB team sign Roger the Rocket for a half season now ? Who will sign Barry Bonds ? Could it be Steinbrenner ?
