….Blair Oaks (3-0) rode the pitching of Patrick Schellman (6 hits, 3 strikeouts, walked 2 in 7 innings) and Travis Henke (who got the save) to win an extra inning thriller from Russellville 3-2 in 8 innings in mid-Missouri action.

… Vianney (#5, class 4, 6-2) beat Edwardsville (11-1) as Josh Syberg (star of the 04 championship game) shut the door for 5 innings while fanning 8 batters against one of the best teams on the East Side

…Some say the hottest pitcher in SEMO area is Brad LaBruyere of Cape Central. LaBruyere (4-0) has yet to permit one runner to cross home plate in 23 innings of work!
He’s struck out 35 batters and walked just 4 !

…Ava Bears 6-5 thriller over Marshfield was a mini-version of David & Goliath

…the Hickmann Kewpies came off the deck, trailing 4-0 to Apollo HS to Owensboro, KY, the Kewpies scored 8 runs in the 6th to walk off with an 8-4 victory this week

…another rally was the Holden Eagles trailing 9-6 after 6 innings and scoring 4 runs in the final inning to win 10-9 over Oak Grove

…pitchers dominated as Linn edged S.Calloway 2-1 and the Republic Tigers squeeked by Smith Cotton 3-1 in real nail biters this week.
