With most teams beginning District competition this week, it’s time to dig the ol’ crystal ball out and take a look. Our Choice is in blue. 48 District champions are predicted!

CLASS 6
Dist 1: Fox, Mehlville, NW, Oakville – Oakville Tigers are on the upswing this year
Dist 2: Kirkwood, Lindbergh, SLUH, Vianney – a great district—only 2 losses between all four teams. SLUH has terrific speed in secondary, improving off/def line play and ability to make big off plays. Any of these teams COULD win the district!
Dist 3: CBC, Lafayette, Marquette, Pk South—After losing opening 3 games, South has rebounded with ball control offense and aggressive defense.
Dist 4: Haz Cen, Haz East, Pattonville, RG – Too much Spartans
Dist 5: DeSmet, Howell Cen, Howell North, Zum South—Munir Prince makes the difference for the Spartans in this highly competitive district
Dist 6: Zum West, Hickman, Jeff City, Rock Bridge – Zum West is having a great year but Hickman has to be beaten before you can pick against them
Dist 7: Joplin, Lee Summit, Lee Summit North, Rockhurst—no one is going to derail the Rockhurst train on its way to the Dome.
Dist 8: Blue Springs(5-2), Blue Springs South(4-3), Liberty(6-1), Oak Pk (6-1) – the final week matchup between Bluejays & Northmen should decide champion in another tightly bunched district. Liberty wants a rematch with Rockhurst in quarters.

CLASS 5
Dist 1: Eureka, Jackson, Summit, Seckman—Wildcats bounce back from WG defeat !
Dist 2: Howell, Pk Cen, Pk West, Troy, WG – Statesman & Colts game is title matchup !
Dist 3: Beaumont (4-3),Gateway(4-3),Roosevelt (5-2), Vashon (4-3)—most balanced district of this class. All from Public High League and ANY could win it all.
Dist 4: Cham, Haz W, McCluer, McCluer N, Ritenour—North Stars are still a notch better than the Wildcats & Huskies but the gap was closed some this year.
Dist 5: Lebanon, Rolla, Washington, Waynesville—Waynesville sees Ray-Pec in qtr !
Dist 6: Glendale, Kickapoo, Parkview, Ray-Pec – Ray-Pec has eyes set on Dome
Dist 7: Belton, Ft Osage, Raytown, Truman, Wm Chrisman – only team over .500
Dist 8: Cen(St Joe), N KC, Park Hill, Park Hill South, Winnetonka – going with an upset here as the two Park Hill schools will battle for title.

CLASS 4
Dist 1: Cape Cen, Poplar Bluff, Sikeston, West Plains – no team is .500 but Zizzers own the most wins of this foursome. This title is up for grabs !
Dist 2: DeSoto, Farmington, Festus, N County – rematch of 04 title game should fall the other way this year!
Dist 3: Hillsboro, Pacific, St Clair, Union – Bulldogs coast to title
Dist 4: Affton, DuBourg, Luth South, Windsor – Affton looks to avenge Owl defeat in 04
Dist 5: NJROTC, Soldan, St Marys, Sumner – Dragons passing game too much
Dist 6: Clayton, Ladue, Normandy, U City – Clayton beats Ladue for title
Dist 7: Duchesne, Pk North, St Charles, St Charles West – Pioneers outlast Warriors
Dist 8: Zum N, Holt, St Dominic, Timberland – Holt builds on 3 straight wins!
Dist 9: Camdenton (7-0), Hanibal (7-0), Helias, Warrenton -- Camdenton by a hair!
Dist 10: Hillcrest, Marshfield, Republic, Willard—no .500 teams, Williard has lost 3 of their games to highly ranked schools.
Dist 11: Branson, Cen (Spr), Nixa, Ozark – Ozark takes perfect record past district level
Dist 12: Carthage, McDonald Cnty, Neosho, Webb City – Cardinals roll !
Dist 13: Grandview, Hickman Mills, Raytown South, Ruskin – defense of South is key!
Dist 14: Lee Summit West(4-3),Marshall (5-2), Smith-Cotton, Warrensburg (5-2)-hotly contested district. Warrensburg first two games on road make it tough for them !
Dist 15: Cen (KC), NE Law, Van Horn, Westport – Central in a evenly matched district
Dist 16 Benton, Excelcior Springs, Kearney, Lay (St Joe)-Bulldogs in upset!


CLASS 3
Dist 1: Cen (New Madrid), Dexter, Kennett, Perryville—Bearcats on a roll now!
Dist 2: Cen(Park Hills), Fredericktown, Potosi, Ste Genevieve—Dragons beat Potosi for title as their rugged schedule has prepared them well for districts
Dist 3: Herculaneum, JFK, Miller Acad, St Pius—Herky should breeze
Dist 4: J Burroughs, MICDS, Priory, Westminster – Annual -- terrific battle with JB!
Dist 5: Jennings, Lutheran N, McCluer S, Trinity – Jennings has shown big improvement this year but Crusadors are still too much
Dist 6: Bowling Green(2-5), Kirksville(4-3), Mexico(4-3), Moberly(4-3)—best balanced district of this class. Turnovers will determine winner !
Dist 7: Fulton, Owensville, Borgia, Sullivan—Borgia has played top teams in various size classifications to toughen them up for district. This is a major upset !
Dist 8: Ava(6-1) Mt Grove(6-1), Salem(7-0), St James (5-2)—best district from top to bottom in this class. Reign of defending continues until someone else can demonstrate the ability to step up to knock off the Tigers.
Dist 9: Bolivar, Buffalo, Logan-Roger, Reeds Springs – Bolivar easily !
Dist 10: Aurora (4-3), Cassville (7-0), Monnett (6-1), Seneca (7-0)-another powerful district ! All the top teams have superior defenses with the Wildcats being the best !
Dist 11: Clinton, Eldon, Osage, Versailles—no trouble for Indians
Dist 12: Carl Junction, Harrisonville, Nevada, Ohara—should edge Ohara for title !
Dist 13: Grain Valley, Oak Grove, Pleasant Hill, SE—this weekends game between Grain & Oak Grove will lead the way to the trophy room. Both team are 6-1 with only loss suffered by both is to Odessa !
Dist 14: Boonville, Chillicothe, Odessa, Richmond – too much Bulldogs
Dist 15: Center, Lincoln College Prep, Pembroke Hill, St Pius KC—Deciding game will be the St Pius-Lincoln College Prep game
Dist 16: Maryville, Platte County, Savannah, Smithville—Platte County is only team over .500 and looks towards sectionals
