Preview of the Seckman @ Summit Football Game

football picROCKWODDSPORTNETWORKIn week two of the 2014 football season, the Rockwood Summit Falcons welcome the Seckman Jaguars for their home opener.

The Falcons are coming off of a very impressive 21-9 road victory over last year’s MSHSAA Class 5 runner’s up, the Colts of Parkway Central.   Trailing 9-7 in the 3rd quarter, Jordan Haliburton (Jr.) returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. From there, Rockwood Summit was in control as they limited Parkway Central to just 2.9 yards per play and forced two turnovers.  Sam Pennington (Jr.) led the rushing attack for the Falcons by racking up 85 yards on just six carries.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR:

The Jaguars come into this matchup searching for answers following a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Pattonville Pirates.  Seckman couldn’t stop Pattonville’s duo of quarterback, Kaleb Eleby (Fr.), and receiver, Jake Stroker (Sr.). The duo connected eight times for 151 yards and three touchdowns. One area of promise for Seckman was, Joe Ambrose (Jr.).  The junior carried the ball 22 times for 85 yards, and also caught five passes for 72 yards. Ambrose ended up accounting for 157 of Seckman’s 189 yards of total offense.  Click here to VIEW that game …
