Top ranked Class 1 Valle Catholic of Ste. Genevieve had a statement win
last night over Class 3 Potosi, 41-0. The Warriors improved to 7-0 and
the victory was their 22nd straight over 2 seasons. The Trojans fell to
Valle jumped to a quick 14-0 lead in their first 2 possessions as wide
receiver turned running back, Sr. Koltyn Schilly, scored on touchdown
runs of 10 and 21 yards. He added a third TD run early in the 3rd
quarter with a 47 yard scamper to the house.
Schilly ended the night with 10 carries for 138 yards as the Warriors
totaled 358 yards, 297 in the first half. Jr. QB Connor Basler was 8-12
for 106 yards and added a TD on a 1 yard run to give Valle a 28-0
Sophomore running back Tristan Huck added second half touchdown runs of
9 and 4 yards to complete the scoring and begin a running clock.
The Warrior defense held the Trojans to 65 yards of total offense and
only 7 yards rushing. Defensive end Jacob Trautman had 10 tackles, 2 QB
sacks, and 2 tackles for losses, to lead the defensive effort as the
Warriors totaled 11 tackles behind the line.
Valle returns to Fr. John Dempsey Field Friday for an I-55 Conference
deciding game against Herculaneum (5-2). You can hear that game LIVE on

Ste. Genevieve won their game at Perryville last night, 34-20, to
improve to 4-3. The Dragons will Meet DeSoto on Homecoming night next
