Valle Streak now @ 26

Frank-KirchmerTop ranked Class 1 Valle Catholic (11-0) scored 40 seconds into their
Class 1, District 1 Semifinal against St. Vincent (Perryville) on a 51
yards scamper by Jr. QB Connor Basler, and rolled to a 69-7 win over the
outmanned Indians (4-7).

The Warriors tallied 580 yards of total offense, 502 in the first half
alone. Basler was 11-16 for 205 yards and 4 touchdowns, giving him 34 TD
passes for the season. Junior’s Garrett Jaegers and Nick Oberle each had
2 TD catches. Sophomore running back Tristan Huck had 13 carries for 99
yards and 2 TD’s of 1 and 9 yards as Valle took a 62-7 halftime lead
with the JV and freshmen teams playing the entire second half.

St. Vincent scored their only TD on an 84 yard pass from Jr. QB Joe
Whistler to Sr. Trevor Leible in the second quarter. The Indians
finished with only 130 yards of total offense, including -17 on the
ground.

Senior inside linebacker Logan Tucker led the Warriors’ charge on
defense with 11 tackles, running his total to 115 for the season.
