and threw for 2 more Friday night as the top ranked Class 1 Warriors
(7-0) captured their 37th straight victory, 42-3, over Potosi.

The Warriors scored on their second possession with an 8 play, 66 yard
drive, as Jr. FB Tristan Huck scored from one. Sr. Devon Kutz added the
first of his 6 extra points and Valle led 7-0 with 6:49 to go in the 1st

Valle added 2 more scores before the quarter ended. Basler found pay
dirt on an 18 yard run following a short punt with 4:28 remaining and
then hit fellow Sr. Garrett Jaegers on a quick 9 yard slant to polish
off a 4 play, 40 yard drive at the 1:56 mark for a 21-0 lead.

Valle’s defense dominated the Trojans most of the night, with 12 tackles
for losses. Sr. linebacker Kurtis Meyer had 15 tackles. The Trojans had
only 99 yards of total offense, 71 of those on 2 pass plays.

It was a 6 play, 71 yard drive in the 2nd quarter that gave the blue
clad Warriors a 28-0 lead at halftime. Basler again went 18 yards on a
spread read option for the touchdown with 3:47 remaining in the half.

The Warriors tacked on two 2nd half TD’s. Basler found Cole Wood on a 1
yard TD pass with 8:50 left in the 3rd and then raced 70 yards for his
trifecta touchdown 10:51 from the finish for a 42-0 advantage.

The Trojans got on the board with just 5:37 to go on a 37 yard Kyle Osla
field goal.

Valle had 388 yards of total offense, 216 on the ground. Basler was
12-19 for 172 yards. He has now thrown for 31 touchdowns this season and
run for 7 more.

Ste. Genevieve (6-1) won their 5th straight in dominating fashion,
62-17, over Perryville on Homecoming night. The Dragons travel to De
Soto (4-3) Friday.
