The Prepcasts Broadcasting Network Promotes MDA

MDA logoThis would be the weekend that you would always stay up late and watch Jerry Lewis do his annual fundraising on his telethon.  With his retirement the torch has been passed to the communities and to us.

The Prepcasts Broadcasting Network will try to do their part to keep this need alive this weekend.  We will be promoting what MDA is doing in the Kansas City area on those broadcasts and what St. Louis is doing with the KSDK-TV mini telethon on the east side of the state broadcasts.

Here is a link about the Kansas City Lock-UP … and a link about the telethon …

The broadcasts will also be presenting PSA’s from celebrities during the broadcasts as well.

Thanks for those that have already supported MDA and please give what you can when the Firefighter’s come around with their boots this weekend.

Tony Floyd Blog – Week 10 – Lindbergh / Parkway South

Lindbergh Flyers Parkway SouthClick here for the game – Round number two. The Lindbergh Flyers and Parkway South Patriots faced each other

in week one; now they would be facing each other in the first round of the playoffs. Both

teams would come in with a 4 and 5 record overall, but the Flyers had edged out the

Patriots by winning one more game in the district. The Flyers would be hosting the

Patriots for this game. The first game was at Parkway South and the Flyers came away

with the win by the score of 32 to 7. The stage is set. Who would come out with the win

and continue on in the playoffs.

We would not see a score in the first quarter. The Patriots had the Flyers number by not

given Chuck much time to pass the ball, by droping 8 back in pass coverage sometimes.

The Patriots would score first. The Flyers were driving the ball and had gotten deep into

the Patriots side of the ball. Kennan Borders would intercept a pass and take it back a

litte over 40 yards. He would finish the drive by catching a 20 yard pass for a

touchdown. The extra point was made so the score would be 7 to 0 with 2:04 left in the

second quarter. 7-0 would be the score at half time. We would not see another score until

3:41 left in the third quarter. It would be a 42 yard run by Carl Lovely. The extra point

was made to make the score 7 to 7. With 7:41 left in the forth quarter Blake Brockhaus

would make a 31 yard field goal to make the score 10 to 7 in favor of the Flyers. With

3:33 left in the game Garrett Krueger would catch a 25 yard touchdown pass from

Chuck Houska. The extra point was good to make the score 17-7. During the next drive

by the Patriots, Logan Offner would intercept the ball and run it back 11 yards for a

touchdown. The extra point would be good to make the score 24 to 13. With 49 seconds

left in the game Eli Erickson would throw a 8 yard touchdown pass to Jake Hayes. Not

sure if they were going for a 2 point conversion or if it was a bad snap, but it failed. The

final score would be 24-13. The Flyers will be moving on the the next round of the

no sacks were allowed by them.

Parkway South Lindbergh Flyers

Tony Floyd Blog – Week 9 – Lindbergh / Mehlville

Click here for the game – A great game to be at. What a wonderful game we witnessed. The teams would come in with even records. 3-5 overall and 3-3 in the district. With the records most would not get excited. But both of the teams had lost very close games through out the year and could have easily been 6-2. The stage was set to get a better seat in the district and a possible home game in the district playoffs. It would be senior night for the Mehlville Panthers and they would be hosting the Lindbergh Flyers. The Flyers and the Panthers would each score a touchdown in the first quarter. All extra points were made in the first half by the Flyers and the Panthers. Blake Brockhaus for the Flyers and Austin Massey for the Panthers. The Flyers would add two touchdowns just before the half. A 57 yard touchdown pass from Chuck Houska to Garrett Krueger with 1:19 left in the half. Then with 11.5 seconds left in the half it was dejavu Chuck hook up with Garrett again for a 80 yard touchdown pass. Going into the half it was 21-7.
Most off the first half excitement would come from the Flyers, but the Panthers would bring some excitement in the second half. The teams would trade touchdowns in the third quarter. The Panthers Brendan Moore would score a 36 yard touchdown run with 7:06 left in the quarter. Chuck Houska would hook up with Logan Offner for a 57 yard touchdown. With  38 seconds left Brendan Moore would have a 10 yard touchdown run. The score would be 28 to 21 going into the forth quarter in favor of the Flyers. The Flyers would score another touchdown with a 3 yard run by Jay Dupree with 7:58 left in the forth. Mike Mik would return the kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown with 7:24 left in the forth. The extra point would be blocked to make the score 35 to 27 in favors of the Flyers. The Panther would score one more touchdown with a 3 yard run by Mike Mik. The Panters would go for the two point conversion, but the try failed. The score would be 35-33 in favor of the Flyers. The Panthers would have one more try. They drove the ball down the field and attempted a 23 yard field goal with 11 seconds left. The field goal was no good. I just want to say so many players stood out for both teams on offense and defense. Choosing players of the game was very hard. Shoot out to both teams for their great play. The Loin’s Choice 212 Athletes of the game would be Garrett Krueger and Jacob Huff. Mike Mik would be named the Custom Shirt Graphics player of the game. Click here for the game
