  1. Antonio Floyd says:

What an exciting night of football at Lafayette High School. It was senior night. The Lancers would make the only scores in the first half. Evan Scales would have a 16 yard touchdown run, Eric Yarbrough would have a 64 yard touchdown run, and Jake Reynolds would kick a 43 yard field goal. The score would be 17 to 0 at the half. The Lancers d-line and linebackers were all over Chuck Houska in the first half. Chuck was sacked 4 times in the first half. The Lancers would score first in the second half with a 23 yard field goal by Jake Reynolds with 10:01 left in the third to make the score 20 to 0. The Flyers would add their first score with 7:04 left in the third. It was a 2 yard touchdown run by Jay Dupree and the extra point was made. The score would be 20 to 7. With 10:12 left in the forth Ben Kraft would have a 85 yard touchdown catch and the extra point was made to make the score 20 to 14. With 4:07 left in the fourth Jake Reynolds would make his third field goal for the night to make the score 23 to 14. The Flyers would add one more touchdown with 2:11 left in the fourth. It was a 20 yard pass from Chuck Houska to Garrett Krueger.. The extra point was made to make the score 23 to 21. The Flyers would have one more chance because they were able to recover an onside kick. The Lancers would be able to make a defensive stand with two minutes left to keep the Flyers out of scoring position.
Jake Reynolds and Ben Kraft would be the Lion’s Choice 212 Athletes of the Game, and Evan Scales would be the Custom Shirt Graphics player of the game.
