with Howell North would take place between the girls and boys programs.

The boys contest would match two evenly ranked teams, both with 8 victories on
the season.  The Central Spartans started fast by taking an early 13 to 6 lead
and held on to end the first period up 16-13.  The score went back and forth in
the second quarter with six different Spartans getting into the scoring column.
For the North Knights, it was senior James Gleeson carrying the load as he put
in 16 points by halftime with North’s other high scoring senior, Terry white on
the bench with two early fouls.  Central took a 3 point lead into the second
half with Senior Justin Hayden controlling the boards and Tre Curry’s scoring.
The Spartans extended the lead to 46-40 as they headed into the final period.
Once again, Gleeson took charge for the Knights as he poured in 10 forth quarter
points.  Central was not able to score at all until the final two minutes of the
game when Blake Kreder hit a 3 pointer to put the Spartans within 2 points of
the lead.  Gleeson hit his final 4 free throws and it was the Knights who
survived and were victorious 53-50.

The player from North, James Gleeson was amazing. What a fantastic player. Nothing can stop him. He is fit, fast and has amazing basketball IQ. Does anyone knows where he will be going to college?. I believe he is a senior. Keep up the good work and good luck
